Four new partners Dutch Greenhouse Delta

The new year starts with four new partners for the Dutch Greenhouse Delta. Allport Horti Logistics, Codema, Gakon and Van der Ende Groep signed the agreement yesterday, December 19. The DGD focuses on collaboration within the greenhouse horticulture sector to tackle large-scale complex projects and issues about food in the growing megacities and to share knowledge.

Eric Egberts, CEO Dutch Greenhouse Delta: “The participation of these four companies ensures a broader delegation of the horticultural industry in our foundation. Concrete plans for how the business community will jointly profile Dutch horticulture as a brand internationally are taking shape. We are already working on a case in Jiashan, China for the construction of the Sino-Dutch High-Tech Agriculture Park. A letter of intent has also been signed in Uttar Pradesh, India for the development of a horticultural expertise center.”

Lex van der Ende (Managing Director Van der Ende Groep): ”A wonderful initiative, in which we are happy to participate. And in line with the tradition that the Netherlands is regarded worldwide as a specialist in the field of water management, we believe that we have everything in-house to play a crucial role in this. This of course not without our loyal partners. When we break down the proverbial Chinese walls between our companies and join forces, we will be able to make a real impact on global food, energy and water challenges.”

About twenty companies are now partners of the Dutch Greenhouse Delta Foundation. There is strategic cooperation with the two industry organisations, AVAG and LTO Glaskracht, which together represent more than a hundred companies from the greenhouse horticulture cluster.
